Saturday (1/6) Surabaya Export Center visited one of the assisted business actors in Banyuwangi, namely PT. Source of Happy Earth. Representative of technical staff from the Surabaya Export Center, Jalian Setiarsa, met directly with Emmy Pandowo as owner of PT. Sumber Bumi Bahagia and team and Dimas as Farmer Group Coordinator. Dimas gathered farmers to be given insight into how to properly harvest and package fruit according to export standards by the Surabaya Export Center Technical Staff, Jalian Setiarsa, while touring Hawaiian papaya fruit plantations and dragon fruit plantations in the Banyuwangi area. Through this opportunity, we can see the farmers' readiness if in the future large quantities of fresh fruit are needed for export with plantation areas exceeding 300 hectares for each type of fruit. The fruit planted by farmer groups in this area is not only papaya and nega fruit, but also pineapple, mangosteen, melon and cassava. The Surabaya Export Center as an extension of the Directorate General of National Export Development (DJPEN) is obliged to connect business actors with export potential with Indonesian Trade Representatives throughout the world in order to promote Indonesian products and commodities on the global market. Therefore, the Surabaya Export Center immediately contacted Indonesian Trade Representatives in 5 countries, namely: ITPC Dubai, ITPC Jeddah, Atdag Australia, ITPC Chicago and Atdag Malaysia. Furthermore, these trade representatives will promote fruit products from Indonesia in their respective countries so that in the future there will be more opportunities for farmer groups to market their harvests abroad.
