The Surabaya Export Center participated in the annual trade exhibition organized by the Ministry of Trade, namely the 39th Trade Expo Indonesia at the Indonesia Convention and Exhibition (ICE), BSD, South Tangerang, Banten, (9-12 Oct). This year, the 39th Trade Expo Indonesia carries the theme Build Strong Connection With The Best of Indonesia which aims to build strong and long-term relationships between local producers of export-quality products from Indonesia and business markets throughout the world. The Surabaya Export Center together with the Makassar Export Center as an extension of the Directorate General of National Export Development also participated in the Indonesia Export Consultation Center (IECC) pavilion. Together with the Makassar Export Center (ECM), ECS provides export consulting services and introduces the Inaexport platform. ECS also collaborates with the Association of Indonesian Export Companies (GPEI) in facilitating ECS-assisted business actors who want to display products and attend directly at the 39th Trade Expo Indonesia. All business actors who receive this facility have gone through the curation stage of products with export potential. During the four days of activities, the ECS and ECM booth recorded 54 consultation sessions with various questions, ranging from market access, export marketing strategies, to document preparation and certification. Through the inaexport.id platform introduced at the booth, visitors can explore the Indonesian product catalog and access export information more easily. Another facilitation effort from the Surabaya Export Center was to help invite several potential buyers to visit the booths of ECS-assisted business actors. ECS also becomes a communication intermediary between business actors and buyers, making it easier for potential export transactions to occur. The total potential transaction value of ECS-assisted business actors amounts to USD 485,273. Through this participation, ECS not only introduces services, but also provides concrete solutions for exporters who need guidance to prepare their products for the global market. In the future, it is hoped that participation in events such as TEI will bring Indonesia closer to international markets and have a positive impact on the national economy.
